ARBITRATOR

An Arbitrator is a private judge chosen by the parties to determine a dispute. The process is called Arbitration and is several hundred years old. It is frequently used in the construction and business disputes. The process is private and the results are not publicly available.

Joe became an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association in 1992 and has served as an Arbitrator (a private judge) in more than 50 cases. He has resolved cases ranging from contract disputes; insurance matters; employment law cases including highly compensated company officers and construction cases.

Businesses increasingly use arbitration to resolve disputes by either inserting “arbitration clauses” intotheir contracts or agreeing to “submit” the dispute to arbitration. Although Joe is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Panel, he is frequently hired directly by parties wishing to resolve their dispute by arbitration.

Joe’s experience as an arbitrator has given him a unique insight into the arbitral process. And, this experience makes him a particularly effective advocate when he represents parties in arbitration proceedings.
